The Clean Cleaning Products I Actually Use in My Home

After learning more about the chemicals found in many everyday cleaning products and their potential effects on our endocrine system, I slowly began making the switch to cleaner alternatives throughout our home. After struggling with infertility, I became much more intentional about the products I bring into our home. While I know the cleaning products I used were not the sole cause—or necessarily a cause—of our infertility, this was one area where I felt empowered to make small, meaningful changes. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many affordable, effective alternatives that made the transition feel attainable. Now, I love knowing that I’m creating a healthier home environment not only for my husband and me, but for our children as our family continues to grow.

Bedroom/Living Room

Good Natured Brand Carpet Deodorizer – Made with just 3 ingredients to help neutralize odors, without dyes, parabens, phthalates, or petroleum.
Attitude Multi Surface Cleaner – A plant and mineral-based cleaner that I use for everyday cleaning around the house.

Kuhn Silicone Scrubber – A reusable silicone scrubber that I love as an alternative to traditional kitchen sponges. Silicone is less porous and doesn’t hold onto moisture the way a conventional sponge can.

Bathroom

Ginger Lily Farms Hand Soap – I love the Ocean Breeze fragrance! It smells fresh and clean without being overpowering, and it’s become one of my favorite hand soaps to keep in the bathroom.
Disposable Toilet Boil Brush/Cleaner – Okay, this one isn’t necessarily a “clean ingredient” swap, but it has made me feel SO much less gross about cleaning the toilet. The disposable brush heads make it easy to toss them after use, and the holder sticks right to tile or a cabinet for easy storage.
Microfiber Cleaning Cloths – super simple but useful.

Laundry

Attitude Laundry Detergent – A fragrance-free laundry detergent made with naturally derived ingredients. A simple swap for traditional laundry detergent that I feel good using for our family’s everyday laundry.
Molly’s Suds Stain Remover Spray – An unscented, enzyme-powered stain remover that helps tackle everything from baby food and spit-up to grass, grease, and pet messes. A must-have in our house with a baby and two dogs!
Wool Dryer Balls – An easy swap for traditional dryer sheets. I love that they’re reusable and help soften laundry without adding fragrance or disposable dryer sheets to your routine.

Outdoors

Wondercide Flea, Tick, Mosquito, Ant Repellant – A plant-based outdoor pest spray that helps keep mosquitoes, ticks, ants, and other unwanted bugs away from your yard and home. It hooks right up to your garden hose, making it super easy to spray the yard.

Shark Steam Cleaning Mop – One of my favorite ways to clean our floors without adding cleaning products. The steam does the work, making it a simple option for everyday floor cleaning.
Handheld Steam Cleaner – This little steamer has made deep cleaning so much easier. I love using it to tackle built-up dust, grime, and those hard-to-clean areas that a regular wipe just doesn’t reach.
BISSELL Little Green Machine – A MUST in a house with a baby and two dogs. This portable carpet cleaner has saved us more times than I can count when we’ve had spills, messes, and unexpected stains. It’s compact, easy to store, and easy to grab when you need it.
Shark Cordless Vacuum – Switching to a cordless vacuum was a total game changer for me. It’s lightweight, quick to grab, and makes it so much easier to clean up everyday messes without dragging out a bulky vacuum. With a baby and pets, that convenience is everything.
